Most don't hold the amount they state.
These hooks do hold 25lbs (see photo) but that is the max.
If I was going to hang something that weights 25lbs I would use two hooks (25lbs is a lot).
It really depends on what metal surface you put the magnets on.  If it's a heavy duty metal shelf like what's in the photo great.
If it's metal like on a refrigerator it would hold a lot less.
In the second photo I did a vertical hold test, connecting to a rolling tool cabinet with a 4.5lb pipe wrench that was the max.
They work great in my shop to hold  tools or on a Grill.
